Polamalu Active; How Much He Plays is Another Question

Sitting here in the press box in Cleveland, I can tell you that Steeler Nation is alive and well as many were heading to Browns Stadium with Steelers gear on this morning. It should be rather interesting to see the ratio of Browns to Steelers fans here, more so if things get ugly for the home team.

On another note, the Inactives for the game are out, and for the Steelers, the biggest name is one NOT on the list, that being safety Troy Polamalu. After missing the past few games, Troy is active, and it will be interesting to see how much he plays, and if the Steelers get ahead, if they call off the dogs and he’s on the bench.

Browns running back Peyton Hillis, who hasn’t practiced at all this week, is active, but here’s a guess you will see a lot more of backup Mike Bell (former Eagle) than Hillis, who is less than 100 percent after taking a shot last week on his second carry from Ravens safety Ed Reed.

Here’s the list of inactives for both teams:

Pittsburgh: QB Charlie Batch, RB Mewelde Moore, CB Crezdon Butler, OT Chris Scott, OT Tony Hills, DT Steve McLendon, DE Aaron Smith, LB Jason Worilds

Cleveland:
DL Brian Sanford, WR Carlton Mitchell, WR Demetrius Williams, QB Jake Delhomme, DL Jayme Mitchell, WR Jordan Norwood, DL Kommonya Quaye, DL Travis Ivey.
