First the Steelers got some good news as Keith Butler turned down the Fins to stick around as linebackers coach, and now it looks like they are going to get more good news, as executive Omar Khan is sticking around as well. If you don’t recall, Khan was up for the GM job for the Seahawks, but today the Hawks named Packers exec John Schneider as their General Manager.
The hiring of Schneider is somewhat of a shock, as earlier reports were that the Seahawks had narrowed their search to two, and Khan and forrmer Titans GM Floyd Reese were the choices. Kahn has been the Steelers lead negotiator and salary cap monitor the past nine years. He’s done a good job with his duties, and it’s good to keep him aboard.
