Steelers QB Rudolph and Browns DE Garrett Finally Bury the Hatchet

There was plenty of eyes Sunday every time that Browns defensive end Myles Garrett got anywhere close to Steelers backup QB Mason Rudolph.

The two were still in the midst of their “feud” from last year, and needless to say while the game meant so much more for Cleveland, many still wanted to see what would happen if the two got into it.

Well, that storyline never took place, as the two behaved themselves during the eventual Browns 24-22 win that puts them in the playoffs and set up for a rematch next week at Heinz Field with the Steelers.

After the game, the two did finally bury the hatchet after the game, as Garrett describes a chat he and Rudolph had once the game was over.

“I just told him good game — he played a hell of a game — and we will see you all in a week,” Garrett said.

“He played tough. He had 300 yards and a couple of touchdowns. He played very well, and he kept them in it to the very end. Had to show a little praise that he did well in this game and he was able to make some big plays for them.”

It was a good game for Rudolph, who threw well going over 300 yards passing with a pair of scores, including one in the final minute that nearly tied the game.

After the affair Rudolph must have been happy with the back and forth he and Garrett had, as he put the following tweet on his personal account sharing a moment at First Energy Stadium.
