3. Overcoming the Slow Start
The offense did little early, and they outgained 119-16 in the first quarter, but finally after Greg Joseph missed a field goal that would have pushed it to 9-0, the offense got going.
They scored two touchdowns in the second quarter, and started to impose their will as they used the run game and gave time to Ben Roethlisberger to throw and find wide outs to get things moving.
On the day as an offense the Steelers put up 421 yards, and again did a solid job on third downs, going 6-for-13 on the day. They also got a huge fourth down conversion on their last first half drive that led to the second Antonio Brown touchdown.
While you can complain about the slow start, give credit to the teams ‘O’ for making the adjustments and doing an excellent job being consistent the rest of the afternoon.
