3. Coming Through in the Clutch
With the game on the line and the Steelers clawing to get into field goal range, Ben Roethlisberger and the wide outs came up with a couple huge plays, including a 32-yard completion to Antonio Brown with 35 seconds to set up the win.
Before that, a player who has been yapping all season about wanting more chances, Martavis Bryant, came though with a great crossing route that saw Ben hit him in stride with a pass for a big gain to midfield that gave the Steelers a first down to keep the drive alive.
It was a drive that again, wasn’t pretty, but was good enough to get the team in range to get Boz the chance to get the win, and on a day when the club didn’t play all that great, that’s all you can ask.
After a really bad start, Ben ended the day 19-for-31 for 236 yards and two TD’s and a pick on the games second play. The run game wasn’t that great either, so the pressure was really on Ben after being down 17-3 to make plays, and the Steelers and the QB did that when it was needed the most.
