The Steelers and their biggest offensive threat out of the backfield are one season away from parting ways, as today the black and gold and running back Le’Veon Bell failed to come to a long term deal.
The two sides had until 4pm Eastern time today to get a deal done.
The result of not getting a long term deal done means that Bell will be a free agent after the final snap for the Steelers in the 2017 season, whenever that may be.
There’s also the problem of the fact that Bell has yet to sign his franchise one-year deal, meaning that he’s (for the moment) leaving $12.1 million on the table.
There’s no word if Bell is going to report to training camp in a few weeks or not, until he signs that tender is very much up in the air, and now that we know a deal isn’t going to happen, this could be a very long and interesting training camp to say the least.

Bell is delusional if he thinks the Steelers are going to give him a record breaking contract when hes been suspended by league the past two years . Hes proven during his off time he cant control himself and the Steelers arent going to hand him max money for that reason
