It’s the NFL Combine, the time of the year when media converges on Indianapolis to try and grill GM’s and coaches on draft and offseason plans before the start of free agency.
Today Steelers GM Kevin Colbert had some things to say to Sirius NFL Radio about the team, talking about QB Ben Roethlisberger’s future, as well as the recent inking of wide out Antonio Brown and the fact that the team is going to continue to build on defense.
Kevin Colbert: We want to continue to add to the defense, because the offense is mostly coming back.

Colbert re: Roethlisberger CONTINUED: He will be our QB until he officially declares he's retired…great orgs have plan after great retires

Obviously it sounds more and more like there’s no way whatsoever that Roethlisberger is going to step away knowing now that both Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell are back and the team was one step away from the Super Bowl.
It also sounds like the team is going heavy on defense in the draft, which is smart as we say the payoff later in the season in that department.
