The Steelers lost a player on Sunday to injury, as linebacker Bud Dupree was placed on the reserve/injured list.
The teams’ first round pick from last season, who started five games last season and played in all 16, won’t be able to play until at least week nine, and practice after six weeks.
The linebacker hasn’t played a down all preseason, and according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Dupree is going to have surgery to fix a core muscle tear.
Dupree finished 2015 with 26 tackles, 17 of them solo stops. To give the team some help at the linebacker spot, they today inked linebacker Steven Johnson, who was released yesterday in final roster cuts.
Johnson was inked back in March as a free agent.

If the steelers didn’t have bad luck, they’d have no luck at all.
