Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell seems to be ready to take the punishment from the NFL and ready to sit out the first three games of the black and gold season.
Bell spoke about the situation on Saturday, a day after it was announced the suspension was being reduced from four games to three.
“I already apologized to my teammates, my coaches and Steeler Nation,” Bell said to the AP.
“I’m sincerely sorry about everything I put everybody through. It’s been frustrating, and I own up to everything. It’s all my fault, and I can’t blame nobody else for that.”
The running back had to sit out the first two games of 2015, and now missing the first three of 2016 it will again be a chance for DeAngelo Williams to step up again.
For Bell, it will be interesting to see how him missing the first three games will effect his free agency for 2017, and if it will hurt his potential earnings.
“I’m glad they shaved a little bit of time off,” Bell said. “The sooner I can get on the field, the better.”
He’ll have plenty to prove once he gets to the roster that week, and plenty of time to redeem himself to the fans and organization for his mistakes.

Correct me if Im wrong , but , didnt we hear the same apology from Bell last year , when he was out joyriding and smoking weed with the other half of the doobie brothers , Legarret Blount ? Actions speak louder than words .

Give Bell a pair of scissors and have him cut up all the Steelers throwback Bumble Bee jerseys, unless he gets hurt doing that too.

Talk is cheap. You’ll be judged by your actions every time.
