The Steelers number one enemy these days is no doubt Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. Last season he may have all by himself knocked the Steelers out of a chance at a Super Bowl when he injured QB Ben Roethlisberger and then knocked out WR Antonio Brown in the Steelers overtime win over the Bengals.
In one of the more puzzling texts shared on social media in awhile, Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, who was also injured by the Bengals and knocked out for the season in the teams’ first meeting, got a text from Burfict – take it for what it’s worth.
Wow.
Is Burfict turning over a new leaf? He did go on ESPN and basically whined his way through an interview saying how he was targeted by the NFL for his hit on Brown in the wild card game.
Whatever the case, he’ll have plenty of time to think about his actions, as he’s going to sit the first three games of the season after getting a suspension.
But texting Bell saying how happy he is to see him running again?
Odd to say the least.

Vontaze Burrfict simply has no clue . He is a thug looking to hurt someone and nothing more . He destroyed the Steelers 2015 season and hes not stupid , he knows he did . The LeVeon Bell hit was was a routine tackle on the sideline and unfortunately , Bell got his leg caught under him . The hits against Ben Roethlisberger and the near decapitation of Antonio Brown were deliberate hits meant to cause damage and they most certainly did . Bottom line , hes dirty and the league knows hes dirty , which is the reason for the three game suspension . Any more violations on his part and the league needs to sit him down for a full season . The boys in the league office need to pay close attention to Burfict and his actions before they have another Daryl Stingley incident , or God forbid , someone gets killed .

The tackle on Bell was not routine. Look at the video again. Bell was nearing the sideline and Burfict swung his legs out while pulling down on Bell. He knew what he was doing. He had to know that by pulling Bell back and down like that had a high chance of injury. That’s how he plays. He takes you out of the game. A guy like that needs to be taught a lesson by the Commissioner. His three game suspension should be both Steeler games and the last game of the season, not the first three.

Funny thing is, when asked how he learned to play the game, Vontaze made mention of watching the Steelers defense of the mid 2000s. “I saw that dude Ward blocking anybody he could (as long as they weren’t looking) and thought man, I hope I can be that dude!”
Only difference is, he waits til they’re turned towards him to lay the wood.
