Three Steelers Tuesday night were selected to the Pro Bowl, with wide out Antonio Brown, guard David DeCastro and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger all picked for the roster.
Brown is the most obvious choice, as he leads the league in receiving yards and is second in catches. He’s dominated games this season, the latest Sunday when he caught two second half TD’s to lead the huge comeback win over the Broncos 34-27.
DeCastro heads to his first Pro Bowl, this after the improvement by the Steelers offensive line to help the team keep their quarterback upright.
As for Roethlisberger, it was somewhat of a surprise him making the team as he’s missed four full games and parts of three others with knee and foot injuries. He does lead the league in passing yards per game, and with him in the lineup, the team has a great shot to win every week.
There was a couple players that could have easily made the roster – right tackle Marcus Gilbert has been very good, safety Mike Mitchell has had some big plays, and defensive end Cameron Heyward, who leads the team in sacks.
In the end the Steelers are hoping that none of their players play in the Pro Bowl, as if the team is the AFC representative in the Super Bowl, they will be replaced by other AFC players on other rosters.

Three well deserved honors . After missing multiple games , Ben is having one of his best seasons . Brown has become hands down the best receiver in the game and David Decastro has barely scratched the surface of what hes capable of . Way to go guys !
