2. Jack Lambert – Drafted in 1974 in the 2nd round with the 46th pick. Lambert was the face of the Steel Curtain, and the final piece to make it a dominant force in the NFL. Lambert played for 11 season with the Steelers, playing in 146 games, starting 138. Lambert was a day one starter for the Steelers, though some thought he was too small to play linebacker. Lambert had 28 interceptions, 17 fumble recoveries, and “8” sacks. He was revered as one of the toughest and meanest players to play the game. Lambert made 9 Pro Bowls, 6 First Team All Pro selections, won 4 Super Bowls, and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1990.
