The Steelers repeating as AFC North Champs won’t be easy in 2015, as according to strength of schedule they have the toughest go of it of any team in the NFL.
Based on 2014 records, the Steelers will play the toughest schedule in 2015. The Steelers will play a total of nine games against 2014 playoff teams, plus games against the KC Chiefs and San Diego Chargers, who both wrapped up 2014 with winning records, but failed to make the postseason.
That means the Steelers will play a total of 11 games next season against teams who finished 2014 with a winning record.
The Steelers strength of schedule for 2015 is .579, which beat out the Rams (.576) for the toughest strength of schedule.
Here’s the Steelers slate of games for the 2015 season with the records of those teams:
Home – Denver Broncos (12-4), Oakland Raiders (3-13), Arizona Cardinals (11-5), San Francisco 49ers (8-8), Indianapolis Colts (11-5), Baltimore Ravens (10-6), Cincinnati Bengals (10-5-1), Cleveland Browns (7-9)
Away – Kansas City Chiefs (9-7), Baltimore Ravens (10-6), Cincinnati Bengals (10-5-1), Cleveland Browns (7-9), San Diego Chargers (9-7), St. Louis Rams (6-10), Seattle Seahawks (12-4), New England Patriots (12-4)
