Projected 40 Time: 4.56
Projected Round (2015): 2-3
Williams has the height, weight and speed that are desirable by NFL teams. He can play press coverage for the full 60 minutes and specializes in the bump-and-run with the length and strength to detour receivers off the jam. With the ability to turn, run and close, Williams doesn’t open his hips until the receiver commits to the release. Ability to get on top of vertical routes and smother, Williams has also shown outstanding timing and ball skills. Williams has strong instincts and field awareness and often extends outside of his coverage area to make plays. He is a solid tackler in the open field and can get into a higher gear and be explosive when bringing down ball carriers. While in college, Williams often stayed on the high-side that opened himself to easy comebacks. Williams will need to dedicate to playing with high motivation although he has the ability to regroup and play on an island in zone coverage. His ability to cover outside or from the slot makes him a healthy prospect as a ready-to-start aggressive corner. Some experts predict he will become the best cornerback to come out of the 2015 draft and has been compared to Stephon Gilmore. Williams is considered a shut-down corner who isn’t afraid to make a necessary hit.

We have needed a CB for a few season. I hope this season we will opt to draft one.
