Ben Roethlisberger leads the second ranked offense in the league. Roethlisberger is second in the leauge with 4261 yards passing and has 28 touchdowns. His name is in the discussion but can anyone make a case that Roethlisberger should be MVP?
Roethlisberger has 5 three hundred yard passing games. That is very impressive considering the fact that wide receivers Markus Wheaton, Martavis Bryant, and Justin Brown had limited to no experience in a NFL offense coming into the season. Playing behind a offensive line that was breaking in a new offensive line coach in Mike Munchak, and dealing with a offensive line that had struggled protecting Roethlisberger the previous season it seemed likeky that Roethlisberger would take many hits.To top it off it seemed offensive coordinator Todd Haley and Roethlisberger could not get on the same page on offensive strategy. All of this pointed to a downfall for Roethlisberger but Roethlisberger found a way to thrive in many different ways. Roethlisberger many times this season has avoided sacks by checking down the football to running back Le’Veon Bell.
Roethlisberger and wide receiver Antonio Brown have developed great chemistry in working the 5-20 yard range, the main reason why Brown leads the league in receptions. Roethlisberger over last half of the season has done a gteat job bringing along rookie Bryant in developing him as a deep threat and expanding the offense. With the presence of Bryant the Steelers offense have averaged 34 points a game. When you put it all together Roethlisberger has helped improve the offensive line by not holding on to the football too long. He has helped Brown to become a wide receiver who is a threat anytime he touches the football. In the process of all that Roethlisberger skill set has played a big role in the season Bell is having. Defenses can not stack the box because
of Roethlisberger’s ability to throw a quick pass to Brown or a deep pass to Bryant. If the Steelers are victorious this Sunday and if Roethlisberger has a outstanding game it will be hard to argue against Roethlisberger being the MVP.

You really, REALLY need to work on your grammar, dude. Every article you write has at least 40 typos in it. You also seem to love stating what’s blatantly obvious to anyone who even casually follows the Steelers.

Or as Tomlin would say, “The standard is the standard.” A point well taken, Ricky.
