The Pittsburgh Steelers achieved a 17-9 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Led by a strong defensive performance and key plays the Pittsburgh Steelers advanced to 3-2.
The Pittsburgh Steelers defense held the Jacksonville Jaguars to without a touchdown. With decent pressure and great coverage rookie quarterback Blake Bortles struggled all afternoon. The Pittsburgh Steelers defense did a great job in single coverage. Corner back Brice Mccain scored on a interception in the fourth quarter that basically sealed the deal. The defense for the second time this season did a excellent job holding the,Jacksonville Jaguars offense under 100 yards rushing.
Ben Roethlisberger played a decent game. Even though the offense struggled at times in crunch time they were able to make plays to run out the clock . The offense clearly dominated time of possession using over 35 minutes of clock. With 372 yards of total offense and over 100 yards rushing the ball was moved very well. In the future that should translate to more points. Antonio Brown once again caught at least 5 passes continuing his streak of 5 or more catches. Running back Le’Veon Bell didn’t recieve his usual touches but did finish with 82 yards on only 15 Carries. This win wasn’t pretty but as the late great Al Davis said “Just win baby win”
