After a disappointing 21-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers have remained in the NFL spotlight.

  According to reports, Haley has heard the bashing from the Dogg, and instead of verbally firing back, he plans to take the Ice Bucket Challenge and then challenge Snoop Dogg to do the same.

• Sean Spence Injury Update: No Surgery For Steelers Linebacker (SteelersGab.com):
  Against the Philadelphia Eagles in preseason week three, Spence went down again.  This time the young man who had come so far injured his right knee. Gerry Dulac posted an injury update that Sean Spence will not require surgery.
• Defense Can, Must Improve (Steelers.com):  Rookie linebacker Ryan Shazier believes that the defense’s performance against the Eagles will help them become a better unit.

• Sloppy Steelers defense lights fire under Polamalu (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette):
  Safety Troy Polamalu hopes the Steelers can learn from their mistakes and get better.

• Bruce Gradkowski is the SteelersGab Player of the Week (SteelersGab.com):  Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Bruce Gradkowski played well against the Philadelphia Eagles, while the overall team effort was not very good. After not being very consistent the first few games of the 2014 NFL preseason, Gradkowski showed improvement. Gradkowski is the Steelers Gab Player of the Week.
