On Friday the Pittsburgh Steelers signed their ninth and final pick from the 2014 NFL Draft, defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt. The former Notre Same defenseman signed a four-year contract that has allowed the Steelers some wiggle room under the salary cap.
Tuitt is expected to continue to compete with veteran free agent Cam Thomas who was signed earlier this year. Thomas is considered by many insiders to be a temporary fix to a thin position on the Steelers’ defense. Tuitt will use mini camp Wednesday and Thursday to prepare for training camp.
