If there’s one player that the Steelers will have to keep an eye on Sunday, it’s Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
In his rookie season of 2010, Gronk caught two TD’s in a Pats win over the Steelers on a Sunday night at Heinz Field.
Now, he’s one of the best in the game, but still stepped back and had some kind words for Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, who is having an All Pro season.
“He’s one of the best players I’ve played against,” Gronkowski said. “It’s just unbelievable how quick he can hit that gap, how quick he can hit that hole. Coverage-wise to blitzing to tackling, he’s a great player overall.”
Gronkowski has caught 10 passes for 141 yards in two games with the Pats coming off injury.
Polamalu was as equally complementary about Gronk.
“And the fact that he has a quarterback that can put the ball anywhere,” Polamalu said. “Of course he catches anything near him as well.”
