L.C. Greenwood was hands down one of the most dominant defensive linemen in the NFL during the 1970’s . Not because he played for the Steelers or on the Steel Curtain , but simply because he was that good . On any other team in the league , he would have been enshrined in the hall of fame probably ten or fifteen years ago . However , because he played alongside Joe Greene and the fact that he was on a team that had hall of famers at practically every position , Greenwood was allowed to fall through the cracks . Its a crime and completely unfair that Greenwood left this earth and passed away , never taking his rightful place in Canton where he belonged .
