The Steelers are looking everywhere for a running back it seems, and one player they are talking to is free agent running back Larod Stephens-Howling.
The former Pitt running back spent the last four seasons with the Cardinals, and last season ran for 356 yards with four touchdowns. He’s also an excellent special teams player.
The Steelers have lost one running back to the Cardinals, that being Rashard Mendenhall. Stephens-Howling would for sure bring a different dynamic because he’s a return man, and a whole different back than those currently on the roster.

Thanks for the comment Jalen. Who would you rather have on the roster? Ahmad Bradshaw or Stephens-Howling?

Stephens howling-cheaper, younger, less injury prone, did I mention cheaper and u can still go and get a feature back on day(s) 2or 3 of the draft.

I think the Bradshaw is a better all around backwe need size

size can be gotten in the draft. I’m not paying 3-5 mill per year on a player who most likely doesn’t finish the season. If you could get Bradshaw for Stephens Howling’s price then perhaps but otherwise too risky for me and plus he has tremendous wear and tear on him already.

100 percent agreed Jalen. No need to spend money we dont really have on a worn down rb. Remember, the Giants aren’t retaining him for a reason.
Howlings is not a bad option but I still would love to get Kenjon Barner somewhere around round 4-5

I prefer Bradshaw. Despite his injury risk he has more proven production than Stephens-Howling. Stephens-Howling is like a poor man’s Mendenhall without breakaway capability.

Jalen is, of course, on the MONEY!
