The injury to Ike Taylor means the Steelers would like some help at the CB spot, and today they will get a shot to look at a play – if he doesn’t sign elsewhere first.
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that former Raiders and Chiefs CB Stanford Routt will possibly ink with the Steelers – that is unless the Texans, who are working him out today, ink him first.
The report about Routt, who was dumped by the Chiefs in the first-year of a deal playing him $18 million, means the injury to Taylor will indeed keep him out a few weeks as has been reported.
Look for an update later today on Taylor, and for Routt to talk to the black and gold if the Texans take a pass on him at his workout today.
