After all the bad that’s happened with the Steelers recently, they got some good news on Friday when the team found out the Achilles injury to running back Rashard Mendenhall in minor.
Mendenhall came back just a week ago, and was impressive vs the Eagles in the 16-14 win, but was held to 6 yards on six carries before his Achilles tightened up against the Titans.
The Steelers will sit back and see how the back feels this weekend before determining his status for the team’s Week 7 matchup against the Bengals.
The team was already without Troy Polamalu and LaMarr Woodley Thursday, and also during the game lost a number of players – running back Isaac Redman (ankle), center Maurkice Pouncey (leg) and right tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle). The team played all active seven OL’s during the game, as were using third-string RB Barron Batch.
