Steelers fans are known to travel well and support their team. Thursday night they filled about one-third of LP Field in Tennessee, but that didn’t prevent running back Rashard Mendenhall from posting a Twitter message Friday complaining about fair-weather fans.
“Seriously, if you’re going to talk trash about your team and everyone on it, don’t call yourself a fan,” he tweeted. “A fan is a supporter …”
Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck noticed the outpouring of Steelers fans during their 26-23 upset victory Thursday, saying, “It was pretty crazy. It must be a Steeler convention in town.”

I don’t think he was griping about the fans in the seats. He was getting trashed on Twitter by fans after the game.

A true Steeler fan would never talk trash to or about any Steeler player, whether it be during or after the game. Yes, I am upset we lost to an inferior team, but we are playing very hurt & more injuries during the game. I will always love my Steelers, winning or not. We can’t win every year. We need lots of help so let’s wait a year or two, then we will be a team to be feared again.

Every knowledgable fan has the right to criticize the product put on display. We all love the steelers and expect much more than what we have been investing our hearts into this year. Perhaps as a fan base were spoiled by the model of consistency, but we all know what Steelers football is and this definitely isn’t it, so the fans have the right to be upset

Indeed! Worst product seen in years. As a start I suggest we get rid of Ike Taylor and Tomlin to start this rebuilding process.
