All indications are the Steelers will be without two of their top stars on D when they play host to the Jets Sunday.
Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac states that both linebacker James Harrison (knee) and safety Troy Polamalu (calf) won’t play Sunday.
The two players have missed practice all week, and both are listed as questionable. Chris Carter would take Harrison’s spot, and Ryan Mundy would play for Polamalu.
Since the 2007 season, Harrison and Polamalu have missed a combined 25 starts but both have never missed the same game. During that time, the Steelers are 5-2 without Harrison and 9-9 without Polamalu.

I don’t think things are going to go very well for the Steelers this year.
With the injuries to Silverback and Polamalu, they may just lose again this weekend. Couple that with a trip to Oakland –they never play well on West Coast road trips– I fear they may start this season 0-3.
That will make for a long season.
