The Steelers game in Buffalo vs the Bills isn’t even over yet, but the outcome isn’t as important as what has already taken place to first round pick David DeCastro.
The rookie right guard was carted off the field after hurting his right knee early in the game vs the Bills. The team has already said he would not be back.
DeCastro was hurt pass blocking on a third-and-8 at the 6-yard line on the Steelers second possession. DeCastro’s right leg twisted beneath him after being bowled over by defensive tackle Marcell Dareus.
The rookie laid in the end zone for a few minutes as trainers worked on his leg. He briefly got up on his own, but was unable to put any weight on his right leg. He took a few hops before trainers stopped him and called for a cart.
