If you like those so-called “experts” throwing out their predictions for the 2012 NFL season, today is the first I have seen someone giving an EVERY GAME prediction, but that’s what Pete Prisco of CBS has done.
Prisco threw out every team and what he thinks final scores will be – game-by-game. To save you all some time, I have copied his scores for the Steelers below.
Pittsburgh at Denver, 8:20 p.m. — Broncos 23, Steelers 21
N.Y. Jets at Pittsburgh, 4:15 p.m. — Steelers 28, Jets 25
Pittsburgh at Oakland, 4:15 p.m. — Raiders 24, Steelers 23
Philadelphia at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. — Steelers 28, Eagles 25
Pittsburgh at Tennessee, 8:20 p.m. — Steelers 20, Titans 17
Pittsburgh at Cincinnati, 8:20 p.m. — Bengals 23, Steelers 20
Washington at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. — Steelers 30, Redskins 14
Pittsburgh at N.Y. Giants, 4:15 p.m. — Giants 30, Steelers 28
Kansas City at Pittsburgh, 8:30 p.m. — Steelers 27, Chiefs 17
Baltimore at Pittsburgh-x, 8:20 p.m. — Steelers 20, Ravens 17
Pittsburgh at Cleveland, 1 p.m. — Steelers 17, Browns 13
Pittsburgh at Baltimore, 4:15 p.m. — Ravens 27, Steelers 16
San Diego at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. — Steelers 21, Chargers 20
Pittsburgh at Dallas, 4:15 p.m. — Cowboys 27, Steelers 21
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. — Steelers 23, Bengals 20
Cleveland at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. — Steelers 37, Browns 7
According to Prisco, the Steelers will go 10-6, and will be SECOND in the division to the Bengals, who he also has going 10-6.
As for the Ratbirds, he has them going 9-7, and the Browns (get ready to laugh) – how about 1-15.
So how will the season end for the Black and Gold says Prisco? He thinks the team will fall to the Texans, 24-20 in the wild card game in Houston.
As far as Super Bowl XLVII – he thinks the Packers will beat the Patriots 37-31.

Prisco is quite possibly the worst NFL reporter/analyist in the business. As much as I hate them, the Ravens are going to win a minimum of 12 games. Steelers and Bengirls will have to keep pace. i think it will come down to division tiebreakers again with all three teams in the playoffs again.

So, you think that the Bengals are going to end up on top? You’re taking 3-4 wins away from the Ravens based on their loss of Suggs? I don’t see it. Don’t get me wrong, I think it will be a tight race, but the Bengals being better only means that the weakened Ravens team might lose to them once or twice. I think their improvement will actually push the Steelers to the top – and put the Bengals at the number 2 spot.
Let’s face it, the Bengals and Steelers have gotten younger and have added a lot of talent while the Ravens have probably taken a step backwards. Not to mention they lost Suggs. Flacco will improve this year, but without a solid rush attack their pass defense will falter against high-powered offenses.

I have to thank Prisco for giving me such a good laugh today. Me thinks Prisco couldn’t find his hindend with both hands AND a seeing eye dog.
