Former Steelers safety Anthony Smith has announced at the age of 28 that he is retiring from the NFL.
Some Steelers fans wish that he would have walked away before the 2007 game vs the Patriots. That’s the day that he “guaranteed a victory” over the Pats, only to be burned for two scores in a New England 34-13 win.
Smith, who last was playing with the Titans, was a third-round draft pick of the Steelers in 2006.
He also played for the Rams, Jaguars and Packers.
