Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the Steelers have come to terms with Byron Leftwich.
The bringing back of Leftwich means that he will be back with backup QB Charlie Batch, who inked a deal with the Steelers earlier in free agency.
Batch and Leftwich were each unrestricted free agents as is another, Dennis Dixon, who is not expected to resign with the Steelers.
Leftwich one-year deal expected to be $825,000 plus signing bonus & should come with reduced cap hit of $540,000 plus signing bonus.

Disappointing. With all the other veterans retiring or getting cut, I thought the Steelers would have realized it’s time for a change: Leftwich can’t stay healthy and Batch is now a better coach than quarterback. I was intrigued by their two signings in the off-season, and was hoping at least one would get a shot as the #2 or #3, rather than the two veterans.
