Congrats to second-year Steelers WR Antonio Brown, who today was named as the Steelers MVP after a vote of his teammates.
It comes as somewhat of a shock, considering that Brown started just three games, but he’s had a huge impact on the team, and also was named to the Pro Bowl Tuesday night as a kick returner.
Brown broke the team record for yards from scrimmage in a season and has the highest kick return average for the Steelers since Mel Blount in 1970.
Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Wallace had to also be up for the award, and it wouldn’t have been a surprise, as both were named to the Pro Bowl as well.
Brown has had a huge season, coming on as Roethlisberger’s favorite target the second half of the season. On the year he has 63 catches for 1018 and 7 touchdowns.
