Tuesday the NFL handed down a one-game suspension on OLB James Harrison. This after the hit Thursday night on Browns QB Colt McCoy in the teams 14-3 win over the Browns.
Now the question is – will Harrison have to sit Monday night in the teams critical game in San Fran? Word is Harrison will appeal the suspension, with a hearing with the NFL on Friday. That means the suspension, if upheld, will mean he probably sits on Monday night.
One interesting note to the suspension is that Harrison is the first player in 25 years to be suspended by the league for a tackle on the football field.
After the suspension was announced, Harrison simply put on his Facebook “LOL”.
A little while later, his agent, Bill Paris, released the following comment about the suspension.
“My job right now is to continue to read this and talk to my client and he and I together will make an intelligent decision and we’ll move expediently,” Paris said.
