Arians Says WR Sanders Will be Back For KC Game Sunday Night

Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said WR Emmanuel Sanders will return to the lineup in Week 12 against Kansas City. Sanders has missed the past two games due to a knee scope. “He’s not exactly where he was, but I think he will be by Sunday night,” Arians said.

“I think we’re most explosive with him in the group.” Sanders has emerged as a valuable option in the Steelers’ passing game during his second NFL season. He had five receptions in each of his previous two games before the injury and has two touchdowns on the season.

Sanders is undoubtedly more explosive (meaning faster, I suppose), but Cotchery has better hands and runs more disciplined routes. So, who is going to sit to accommodate Sanders?

Speaking of receivers, guys, have you noticed the emergence of Saunders as a TE option? He has good hands, blocks well, and gives Ben a very tall option in the red zone (who you gonna guard, Miller or Saunders?). He is also faster than D. Johnson, making him a very versatile talent. Because of his injury in college, Saunders was a steal in the draft. His playing time just keeps going up.
