Polamalu Passes Concussion Tests, Will Be a Go For Sunday

The Steelers got good news Tuesday, as coach Mike Tomlin announced that safety Troy Polamalu passed a concussion test and that he is “good to go” for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.

Tomlin said barring any setbacks, he thinks Polamalu will take the practice field on Wednesday. Polamalu left last Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter with “concussion-like symptoms.”

The team will be without guard Doug Legursky, he had surgery on his dislocated toe, and will miss about two weeks. He also does not expect to have defensive linemen Casey Hampton or Aaron Smith available for the game in Arizona.

Matt Loede has been in the sports media for over 16 years, with experience covering the MLB, NBA, and NFL. On Sunday’s during football season, you can hear Matt on national networks like Fox Sports Radio, Associated Press, and others. Born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, Matt studies and talks football inside and out, and is anxious to share his thoughts and comments with readers on a daily basis.
