Third Quarter Thoughts: Quite the Turnaround in Houston

Emmanuel Sanders drags Texans cornerback Jason Allen

The best drive I have seen since the Jets AFC Title win, as the Steelers marched it right down the field, going 74 yards in 13 plays. They used Antonio Brown for a couple plays, and for the first time all day, Rashard Mendenhall had some room to run, eventually going in from three yards out to make it a 10-7 game.

The Texans were held to a 3 and out, and the Steelers ground game went back to work, and instead of Mendenhall, it was Issac Redman and even Mewelde Moore getting into it with carries, as the team again shoved it right down the Texans throat.

Give credit to the Black and Gold, as they didn’t let this thing get too far out of hand, unlike opening day, and hung in for a chance at the end of the quarter to tie it. Just to show how close things are at the end of three, the Texans have 216 yards, the Steelers 204.

Should be an interesting fourth quarter to say the least.
