As if being 2-2 and losing to the Texans isn’t bad enough, word from Houston is that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hurt his left foot during the loss.
Roethlisberger completed 16-of-30 passes for 206 yards with an interception. He hurt his left foot in the fourth quarter and was given an x-ray after the game, but the results weren’t revealed. He ran for his life all day, and eventually was sacked five times.
He limped into the locker room about 20 minutes after the game with his arms draped around a pair of Steelers employees and an ace bandage and a bag of ice wrapped around his injured foot. He sat alone at his chair with his head down and looked to be gazing at his foot for several minutes before putting on the walking boot to limp to the showers.
Even though the O-line was awful again, Roethlisberger didn’t blame his teammates for the setback.
“I’ve still got to make plays,” Roethlisberger said. “I’ve got to make it easier on my guys and I didn’t do that today.”
Coach Mike Tomlin said this week that he felt like they had the players to get the protection problems fixed, but he wasn’t sure after the game.
“It depends on the health of the men,” he said. “We’ll rally and see who we have coming back, look at the men who played in this game and make those decisions at the appropriate time.”
Tomlin also disclosed running back Rashard Mendenhall had an injury to his right hamstring, defensive end Aaron Smith suffered a mid-foot sprain, and linebacker Jason Worilds had a left quad injury.
LB James Harrison missed the entire third quarter with an eye injury but came back for the fourth quarter.

Tomlin’s comments about the line are atypical of his egotistical rhetoric to hide how serious the problem is, has been and leads me to believe, will continue! That is, unless he finally mans up and admits he, Colbert, Kugler etc; screwed up by not bringing back Flozell, Max or acquiring someone comparable. Unfortunately, it appears it could be too late, particularly in lieu of Ben’s injury! Maybe it’s time for Mr Rooney II to get involved! Somebody, needs to do something, ego’s aside.

Tomlin reminds me of the right. A lot of bullshit. We have a band of over thirty guys who are ready for medicare and Tomlin hasen’t retooled since he got the job. It starts at the top. Dick Labeau and his complicated defense is bull. Get a bunch of young guys out there that want to make a name and some bucks. The defensive line is fat and slow, play the young guys. Hampton has been shot for two years. It’s a disgrace that you haven’t got a offensive lineman other than Poucey for ten years. We need a house cleaning or we could end up like the Pirates.

Another thing this Rooney crap is bull too. What the hell does he know. Getting rid of Santonio over a joint. Not paying Faneca while he had three years left in him. Rooney’s try to be the Godfather but are far from it. We need sound management like the Ravern’s and Patriots. Players keep being added to not let the team get old. Chuck Noll kept Joe Greene and let good guys go. There’s time when you see a guy has lost it. Like James Farrior, man that poor guy couldn’t catch a cold at this point.

Dude, seriously, I think I know what you’re saying but you ramble incoherently and make no sense. Use punctuation, slow down and try to manage the thoughts in your head to transfer onto the page seamlessly. Otherwise I can’t speak for everyone else but I’ll start to think you’re retarded. If you are, I apologize, if not, MAKE SENSE!
