The Steelers will have their punter back in 2011, as the team has inked Daniel Sepulveda to a deal pending a physical. Sepulveda may have to fight off a couple younger players on the roster to get his job back this upcoming season.
The Steelers right now have three punters in training camp unless they release one of the other two. Sepulveda, when he’s 100 percent, is a very good weapon for the Steelers.
Last season he averaged 45.5 yards per punt before tearing the ACL in his right knee while making a tackle in an early December win at Baltimore.
Jeremy Kapinos, who replaced Sepulveda last season, and undrafted free agent Aaron Bates are the other punters in camp.
