Taylor Returns; Steelers Ink Free Agent CB to Four-Year Deal

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Twitter, the Pittsburgh Steelers have decided to keep their best defensive back outside of Troy Polamalu:

Pittsburgh reached agreement with veteran cornerback Ike Taylor on a four-year deal.

This was an easy choice for the Steelers, who lack quality depth behind Taylor at cornerback. The 2004 fourth-round pick out of Louisiana-Lafayette has spent his entire eight-year career with the Steelers, totaling 481 tackles, 11 interceptions and 99 passes defensed as a starter in 91 of 125 regular season games.

4 years isn’t too bad for a 30 year old speed cornerback. Now I say we go out and get Johnathon Joseph and were be in great shape

Great news! We all expected it. Ike is simply too good to lose. Now, as George H. suggests, let’s fix the other corner. Our young CBs need to step up and fill the void… before they find themselves expendable.

Are we resigning Wilie Colon? I don’t think so but was wondering if anyone in the know knows some inside stuff?
