Amid reports that the NFL owners could ratify a collective bargaining agreement during their meetings on July 21st in Atlanta, the Steelers are still planning to hold training camp at St. Vincent’s College, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
“We are still planning to go,” Steelers president Art Rooney said. “Obviously, we may get to the point where we have to make adjustments,” Rooney said. “But we will hold on as long as we can.”
The Latrobe, Pennsylvania school has hosted Steelers training camp for the past 45 years.
The Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, and New York Giants usually hit the road for training camp, but due to the lockout will be training for the upcoming season at their respective headquarters this summer.
