Dennis Dixon – The starter for the first two games a season ago clearly wants to start somewhere this next season, and it’s not going to happen in the Steel City. He was hurt last season which ended his year on IR, and when he did play he was OK, but never made the huge plays some felt he would. The Steelers have Charlie Batch and Byron Leftwich still backing up Ben Roethlisberger, which is enough to possilby move Dixon if they can find someone that would want him for few picks.

What about Tony Hills and Charlie Batch? Hills is one of the biggest draft busts the Steelers have had in the past decade, and Batch is, well as old as the hills…
Of the players on this list, I think Randle El, Dixon, and Foote will be back, but Sweed, and Fox have seen their last days in a Steelers uniform. Sweed would have been cut coming out of training camp last year if not for his injury. Fox signed his exit forms by taking that stupid penality in the Super Bowl.
Who do the Steelers keep on defensive line, Aaron Smith, still recovering from the tricep tear and entering his 13th NFL season, or Nick Eason?

i think dennis dixon could be moved on. randle el while aged, can be used as an extra qb, can make catches, and is good on special teams. there’s more than 5, as i think mike t. will work every one to see who gives their all, and those who are o-k. he’s got a rough job to determine who stays, as i’m sure these players do go all out to make it, but durability is always a gray area.

I hope Keyaron Fox that hot headed stupid idiot will be gone. Look at what that idiot did in the super bowl. That stupid penalty took us back from the 28 to the 5. Then Ben completes a 25 or so yarder, with out Fox we would have been in GBs territory and really had them back on their heels with about 1:30 remaining.
That mound of dog excrement better be gone–same with sweed who is useless!

What did I say before even getting to this section of this overall article?????
With Woodson out for GB who is really the only smart player in that defense, we would have won that game if it wasn’t for Mr. I’m a slave Fumbles-his middle name Mendenhall.
