Don’t forget tonight is the debut for Steeler WR Hines Ward on “Dancing with the Stars,” a reality dance show on ABC that will have him along with 11 other stars going at it for prizes and a trophy.
“I am always up for a challenge and would love to see what I can do in a field completely foreign to me,” Ward told ABC. “Besides, if Emmitt and Jerry [Rice] can do it, so can I.”
The dancers have been working together in Los Angeles for several weeks now, five hours a day. When the show airs live, it opens a window for viewers to vote for their favorites.
Votes are placed via telephone, text message (AT&T only) or online.
Fans can vote via phone or text as soon as the show starts, until 30 minutes after it ends. Internet voting runs from the beginning of the performance show until 8 a.m. EST Tuesday morning. You must register through ABC.com or through Facebook or Twitter.
