The Steelers announced today the signing of two first-year players to Reserve/Future contracts for the 2011 season. Outside linebacker Chris McCoy (6-3, 261) and kicker Swayze Waters (5-11, 180) were each signed to one-year deals with the team.
McCoy, a 2010 seventh round draft pick (212th overall) of the Miami Dolphins out of Middle Tennessee State, spent the final six weeks of the 2010 season on the Houston Texans’ practice squad.
Waters was in training camp with the Oakland Raiders in 2010 after originally signing with the Detroit Lions in 2009 as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Alabama-Birmingham.

It would be nice if McCoy turned out to be a find like James Harrison…would be a nice back-up for now…that’s if he has a good training camp ofcourse…don’t know much about the Waters kid.
