With one week left in the regular season, the slate for who the Steelers will play in 2011 is starting to become more clear. Of course the Steelers could care less about that right now, as they are focused on Cleveland, and then who they may play in the postseason.
For the rest of us though, here’s the list of teams that the black and gold will play IF they are the AFC North Champs:
Home
Cleveland
Cincinnati
Baltimore
Jacksonville
Tennessee
New England
St.Louis
Seattle
Away
Cleveland
Cincinnati
Baltimore
Houston
Indianapolis
Kansas City
San Francisco
Arizona
If the Steelers happen to get upset by the Browns, you can take out the Pats and replace them with the Jets at home, and on the away side, take out the Chiefs and replace them with either San Diego or Oakland, whoever finishes 2nd in the AFC West. But again, that’s a big IF as far as the Steelers go.

This is all good but, the rumor mills have suggested that an 18 game schedule is imminent and ‘necessary to get the CBA through’. Assuming there really is football as we know it, where will the two games fall in? Two other equally ranked teams from the opposite conference? Maybe the Eagles and Bears would be added?

What is your source of this info? Did you plagiarize it from anywhere without giving credit?

Are you the only fan of the NFL that doesn’t know that team rotate through opposing divisions every year? Or don’t you understand that based on who the Steelers played over the past four years one can guess who they will play next season?
They go through the NFC every four years, and the AFC every three years.

Ha ha, it’s pretty much common knowledge on any site that covers the Steelers…so No, it’s not stolen from another site

Sets up as a really good schedule for the Steelers, they should sweep their division, Baltimore’s defense is on it’s last leg. They should sweep the inept NFC West and the fading AFC South. Leaving only Kansas City, who seem to be a team on the rise, and the Patsies as competition.
The only real loss I foresee is to New England, they always out scheme the predictable Steelers, then throw in the two games where you say, “how did they blow that game?” and I see them going 13-3.
That means a 21st Division championship (if they beat Cleveland Sunday), 27th playoff appearance and another shot at the Super Bowl.
They need to get a good Guard to solidify their offensive line, a good Nose Tackle to solidify their defensive line, a good Cornerback and a good Free Safety for this team to remain at the top of the NFL for the next decade.
