Fox Sports’ Adam Caplan reports that the Steelers worked out four players, including WR Andy Fantuz, who was last in the CFL and we reported last week would be in for a workout this week. Here’s the lowdown on the players coming in for a look.
The Pittsburgh Steelers worked out four players on Tuesday, a source confirmed. The team got a look at WRs Markeee White and Andy Fantuz and OLB Alex Hall and ILB/S Harry Coleman. Hall is an interesting name.
He was selected in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. Hall made the team as a rookie and played in all 16 regular season games. His role decreased with the new coaching staff in 2009 and was eventually traded to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this year. After Philadelphia waived him prior to the start of training camp, Hall spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants. He also had workouts for the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots earlier this season.

Fantuz would be a great addition. He may sem slow compared to many receivers, but his sense of time and space would more than make up for that. You won’t see him drop a pass in open space like we have seen in practically every game on TV this year. PS I am biased being from Sask, but I am a big NFL fan too.
