That was fun to watch. One observation I had was Archie Manning and the Saint offense, with over a minute to play, never really tried to get the ball deep or to the endzone. They literally let the time run out on them! You would never see that in today’s game, right? Once a team breaks midfield, they would certainly try 1 or 2 plays deep. Even the last 2 plays in this game were basically intermediate pass plays that had NO shot of scoring. Oh, and one more thing;How inconsistent was Roy Gerela?? He missed so many kicks in games and Super Bowls it is a wonder he was with that dynasty as long as he was. Gerela would never had lasted in todays NFL.
