The Steelers will miss a piece of their offensive line Sunday, as guard Trai Essex is out for the contest. Essex, who also didn’t play last week vs the Bucs, has not practiced all week and will not play against the Ravens.
An ankle injury will have Essex out Sunday, and he will be replaced again by Doug Legursky, a former undrafted free agent who stepped in and played well vs Tampa Bay a week ago. Legursky will need a big day vs the Ravens, as the Steelers will need to run vs the Ravens to soften it up for Charlie Batch to go downfield.
Another player out for Sunday is NT Chris Hoke, who is out with a sprained right knee. He missed practice for the third day in a row Friday.
