Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks and Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor were ejected in the opening minutes of their preseason game on Saturday night for throwing punches.
The ejections came on the fourth play of the game after D.J. Ware of the Giants had a 4-yard run to the Steelers 49.
Nicks was blocking Taylor downfield when tempers flared and a number of punches were exchanged. At least three officials tossed flags. Referee Scott Green called coincidental personal fouls and ejected both players.

Holy shit like, i know it’s against scrubs and what not but Tony Hills looks rather impressive…he’s mauling in the run game and relatively quick on his feet, quicker than Starks…this whole second unit is nice, i know, i know, nice against backup, but they themselves are backups so maybe there’s hope…outside of Essex, our starters didn’t look too bad against New York’s starters….Thoughts???

Dixon look tremendous. I doubt but really hope he starts the season. Redman looks like he can be our number 2 as well. Ben looked a little rusty but thats to be expected. Our linebackers looked good tonight, every time I checked on the game they were in the backfield making a tackle. Again Im just really impressed with Dixon and I really think he could be a starter and very productive qb in the league

I did like what I saw from the 2nd and 3rd teams last night. I saw them moving the G-men around on some of the runs, and I also thought I saw a few good pockets to pass from.I was a little discouraged by Mendenhalls carries in the 1st qrt though. Pissed that Ike Taylor got tossed SO EARLY! C’mon Taylor, you need to be on the field!I understand that the 4th qtr had many players that wont make the team and that the defense isnt playing with their “Packages” but Anthony Madison looked SO SLOW! Anyone notice that?
