The Steelers could use some depth at the running back spot, and with that keep your eyes today on former BYU running back Harvey Unga. The back is one of the most talked about players entered in todays NFL Supplemental Draft, and there’s talk that the Steelers could take a chance on Unga.
The back worked out for 20 teams as part of his Pro Day and raised more than one eyebrow from scouts and coaches, and the Steelers were one of the teams on hand for the workout.
Michael Lombardi of NFL.com speculates that Unga could go in the third-round and has drawn serious interest from the Steelers, Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins. The Chicago Bears are also “very interested” in obtaining Unga.
