There has been talk about who was going to be granted access to talk to Ben Roethlisberger about the case in March, and now it’s out that two Pittsburgh television stations have spoken to and will air separate interviews with the QB.
Both KDKA and WTAE have done interviews this week with the QB, as sports anchor Bob Pompeani of KDKA and news anchor Sally Wiggin of WTAE have spoken to Roethlisberger. The interviews will be televised on their news shows tonight. KDKA will show additional parts of the interview on its evening newscast Friday.
There was some talk and then backlash that Roethlisberger would only do his interviews on a national scale, much like what NBA MVP LeBron James did last week, talking only with CNN’s Larry King. The QB didn’t go that route, and instead did the interviews on a local level.
So far Roethlisberger has answered just two questions in reference to the case, and both those were at minicamp last week.
