A ton of talk has been pushed to having a Super Bowl in New York (actually the stadium is in New Jersey), and tomorrow there will be a vote in Dallas at a one-day owners meeting about it. Even though the Super Bowl would be on the East Coast, and who knows, it might just increase the chances someday of having a SB in the Steel City, the Black and Gold are not for the event being in New York due to concerns over the cold weather.
Five teams either said they would vote against New York or indicated they were not in favor of a cold weather Super Bowl: Texans, Steelers, Bills, Cardinals and Ravens. Two teams that will not vote for New York on the first ballot: the Dolphins and Bucs. They want the game themselves.
It’s interesting as to why the Steelers wouldn’t want a cold weather Super Bowl. After all, don’t they play sometimes 8 to 10 games a season in cold weather depending on when it gets cold in the East? I guess we’ll find out tomorrow if NY gets its wish, or if the Steelers and other teams saying ‘no’ holds back the city from getting the big game.

Roger Goodell is a total idiot.
When Pete Rozelle and Al Davis instituted the Super Bowl they chose to play the game in warm weather sites to distinguish the game and provide it with more prestige than Regular Season games.
If those of you who are in favor of playing Super Bowls in cold weather sites why not play the games at the home field of the team with the best Regular Season record and strip the game of any distinction at all.
This is a stupid idea and it cheapens the Super Bowl.
