For the first time since the hand down of it last week, it sounds like QB Ben Roethlisberger will be accepting the suspension that was handed down by commish Roger Goodell.
At least according to coach Mike Tomlin, who spoke about it as he talked to the media about the Steelers 2010 draft picks.
“I know he is going to make a comment regarding the discipline of the commissioner on Monday, and I’ll let him do that,” Tomlin said. “My understanding is at this point is he’s ready to meet those challenges and take the necessary steps to move forward with his career.”
In another turn of events, GM Kevin Colbert finally sounded like he is ready to support the QB, something that hasn’t happened it seems till now.
“We can’t defend the behavior or the actions as an organization and we won’t, but we do defend his opportunity to make right, and I think that’s the right thing to do,” Colbert said. “This guy has helped us win two world championships. He’s made some mistakes, but he also deserves the opportunity to rectify those mistakes. And we stand behind his opportunity to do that.”

Hey, FukPItt, you must not’ve been here when a lot of us were highly disappointed with Ben while at the same time supporting Roger Goodell’s suspension. Take your broad brush and shove it up your ass!
